The Japanese increase Vietnamese cassava imports

According to the General Department of Customs, the first 4 months of the year, exports of cassava (cassava) and cassava products of our country increased slightly by 0.7% in turnover over the same period in 2017, earning more than 369 million USD.

Cassava and product export price increased strongly by 37%, reaching over 338 USD / ton.

Export prices to all markets increased, most notably the Japanese market, with a growth of more than 379% in volume and 264% in value, reaching 10,110 tons, equivalent to more than 2.4 million dollars.

China is still the main market, consuming over 90% of Vietnam's cassava export. Export price to this market in 4 months increased by 38%, reaching over 332 USD / ton.
